How to Renew Your Pennsylvania License

View Step-by-Step Tutorial Here

All licenses must be renewed with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission by May 31, 2024, through the PALS website.

  • Licensees will receive an email to the email address on file with your record when the renewal process has opened. The email will include a registration code specific to you which is needed to renew your license.
  • All licensees who were licensed before December 1, 2021, must complete 14-hours of continuing education, and must include at least three-hours of the required topics. The required topic for the current cycle is a topic that covers the responsibilities of the broker and the responsibilities of their licensees in regard to property management, advertising and general supervision. The remaining hours are elective.
  • Licensees completing their first CE cycle (licensed December 1, 2021, or after) must complete two specific courses: the General Module, and then, depending on their preference, the Residential Module or Commercial Module. These courses can be found under the post licensing tab of The CE Shop.
  • Real estate licensees who are licensed less than six months prior to the renewal deadline (December 1, 2023, and after) are exempt from the continuing education requirements for the first renewal cycle. However, licensees must still renew their license.
  • Those holding reciprocal licensure in Pennsylvania are exempt from Pennsylvania continuing education. However, licensees must still renew their license.
  • Keep your certificates in a safe location. The Department of State will perform random audits and you must be able to produce these certificates when selected for audit.
  • Need continuing education credits? Check out The CE Shop offerings or GPAR’s FREE CE offerings.
